The first day of this year's WOW was for me nice but not exactly magical. And I say that not because I felt like an idiot walking around in wellies in anticipation of a rain that never came, but because the concerts were not really funny. Neil Young & Crazy Horse put out a few hours before they were to play, really sad because stoneridge mall their latest album "Psychedelic stoneridge mall Pill" was unexpectedly good. Tame Impala and Beach House were both good, but quite similar to each other musically (Pitchfork-indie of the best quality) and Omar Souleyman, despite the audience's enthusiasm, and it is pleasing in the absurd story of his admission had a happy ending, not great fun live. I saw at least two good movies at Way Out West's biovisningar - Noah Baumbach's "Frances Ha" and Wong Kar-Wai's' The Grandmaster "(with stoneridge mall fantastic acting performances by Greta Gerwig and Zhang Ziyi) - and came into the club I wanted to , RBMA @ Clarion Post, to see Mykki Blanco. He had two heating acts (the second of which, transsexual Boy Child who made a suggestive interpretation of Destiny's Child's "Say my name" was asbra) but when Mykki Blanco walked on stage, there was no doubt who was the star of the evening. Dressed in shorts, taped nipples, rear and front-facing hats and hair pieces in the pile he rushed around the stage and rapped with a wonderful frenzy, as Redman who hung on Berghain the last 72 hours. I was a bit disappointed that my favorite Mykki-song, "Ace Bougie Chick 'carelessness was away - he rapped the first verse a little lax over a completely different and inferior mykke beat - but it is often on hip hop concerts, a bit random. You'll be glad you did not have a live drummer and a bassist keff (though it is perhaps only rapper who has become quite large and decides to live musician is the ultimate luxury driving with stuff like that). The sound was not so good, but it annoyed stoneridge mall me not so much, there was a punk energy that made the concert quite lovely. Which was accentuated by the Mykki Blanco jumped out of the audience and moshpittade, absolutely wild. I touched him and felt that I touched a legend. It's not every artist who makes one feel so. Today, Angel Haze one of today absluta highlights. Interestingly, the biggest hip-hop artists at this year's stoneridge mall festival is non-heterosexual. Okay, excluding Kendrick Lamar, yet. Popaganda: Financial Statements Festival Blog 10:45 September 2, 2013
In a perfect world, reporting from Popaganda been just one report, but the non-existing access to the internet destroyed the idea of sending out quick postcard from the grass. To make it up: a slightly longer stoneridge mall episode of what Popaganda about for myself.
And to launch it: the actual festival area is perhaps the most sympathetic I have read. One can be out and wave the morality finger and point to the free access to water, and how the smallest of the pools had no fence to the water in a festival a few meters away allowing stoneridge mall one to become rännstensfull. But it is well on the other hand difficult attacked: all festivals has proximity to something quite obviously could create a nightmare scenario. In addition: stoneridge mall Eriksdal stoneridge mall outdoor area is really a flawless finish to build magic on.
The most lasting impression: the white sailor hats. Not only because nothing could seem further from what Håkan Hellström stands for the year 2013, but to so very many so happy to live on in myth Håkan Hellström pop star. Håkan Hellström is no longer the live performer as tap-dancing back and goof around with your shoulders and smiles. He's a rock star Håkan Hellström. The ferocious attacking rock dad angry and rebellious wears itself out by tying his fist and with full focus ahead stare down the audience. He is absolutely amazing when he is such. When he roars and fight. It's like he embraced the rock built dramaturgy. As 39 years old, he has found a persona that is quite far from the white sailor suit, but still can hiss out of the feeling of falling stoneridge mall bad the street without making it feel less authentic. Nothing feels old. Just wrapped up in new clothes.
Otherwise was Saturday so much more about what Hot Chip offered, what Sibille Attar so unexpectedly offered. It's easy to stand and bantering wait for a British pop band with curved necks to grind out their pop songs without empathy. It has become so. After quite a few years of the festival visit has been learned about how the pattern usually looks. Fortunately, Hot Chip opposite t
